Join us for our annual summer retreat – ‘The Adventure Playground’
Posted on March 24, 2015 by The Quest
The theme for this year’s The Quest Annual Retreat has been confirmed, and for one very special weekend in July (3 – 5) you’re invited to join us for an ‘Adventure Playground’ experience focusing on relaxation, play and connection.
Leave the city behind, turn off your phones, forget about work, let your emails pile up and give yourself an amazing opportunity to connect with yourself and a wonderful group of gay men in the peace and tranquillity of a beautiful countryside estate in Sussex.
When was the last time you played like a child?
We will take you on a journey in typical ‘Quest-style’ to reconnect with your inner gay child, in a safe and supportive environment where fun and laughter take centre stage. Together we will explore how fun shows up for you today and discover new ways to introduce the magic and unabandoned joy of ‘child’s play’ into your life as a gay man.
A weekend of connection, fun and laughter
When we ask participants to tell us what they enjoyed most from our events and workshops, the response is always the same – the sense of connection and brotherhood that is created when gay men come together and leave their masks behind to embrace themselves and one another for who they really are. Due to its residential setting, nowhere is this more the case than during our retreat where participants forge close friendships very quickly, eating meals as one large family and spending time together from dawn to dusk.
Get away from the hustle and bustle
Dunford House, the venue for our previous two sell-out retreats, once again provides the perfect setting for our Countryside Escape. With the gorgeous South Downs on our doorstep, we have exclusive use of the entire estate – our very own adventure playground for the weekend. The price includes return coach transport, all meals, refreshments, activities and accommodation – for those who wish to purchase alcoholic drinks in the evening, a bar is also available.
The perfectly timed gift to yourself or a friend
Taking place over the first weekend of July, the retreat comes at the half-way point of the year, making it is a perfect time to take stock, unwind and recharge your batteries. It makes an ideal present to yourself – or why not contribute towards a friend coming and share the experience together?
Places are strictly limited and we expect this year’s retreat to once again sell out (only one Bursary space is remaining).
